The West Virginia Legislature has removed “educational leave” or what we called locally “leave of educational value” from the list of excused absences for all West Virginia Public Schools. Please see the information below.
The SMHS first Local School Improvement Council (LSIC) organizational meeting (election of officers) and the first business meeting have been scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 29th at 4:00 p.m. in the SMHS library. All stakeholders are invited and encouraged to attend!
If you are a parent/guardian and interested in being a member of the LSIC please complete the nomination form and return to the school by Aug. 28th. We will elect all new members on Aug. 29th.

Welcome to another Fall season of St. Marys Blue Devils' athletic events! Ticket prices for sporting events are again $4.00 students and $5.00 for adults with a $1.00 GoFan fee, if purchased electronically online or by using a debit/credit card at the gate for each contest. Adult tickets will $7.00 and students $5.00 if it is a cash purchase at the gate. SMHS is again offering season pass options for individual sports that will lower the cost even more. Thank you to everyone who has chosen to use our new digital form platform. The response has exceeded our best expectations. Today at 3:30 PM, we sent out email reminders to those who have started the process but still have some forms to complete. Please check your email for a message from Droplet to see if you have any additional forms that need to be completed.
At a minimum, everyone should have four forms to complete, with some having as many as twelve forms. We appreciate your continued effort in completing the beginning-of-year forms electronically.

Forms go home to register: Friday, October 18
BES/ SMES Conferences: Monday, October 28
SMHS/ PCMS Conferences: Tuesday, October 29
Extra 2023-24 yearbooks are available for $70. Make checks payable to SMHS. Please see Mrs. Campano to purchase.
School pictures will be taken on Friday, August 23. Picture packets were sent home on the first day of school, but extras are available in the office.
Fall sports photos will be taken after school on Tuesday, August 27. Please see your coach for specific times and photo packets.
Formal senior photos will be taken on Tuesday, October 29. Proofs will be provided two weeks later.
Pleasants County Schools will be closed on Monday August 19, 2024 due to an active fire at a business near our bus garage. We are assessing potential damage to some of our buses. As a precaution, we have decided to close school today.

We are excited to announce a new, convenient way for you to complete the beginning-of-year forms for your child - Electronic Forms!
Your child will be bringing home a pink paper form today with more information about this new process.
You can now fill out these forms electronically. After submitting the initial form, please check your email for links to complete all other required forms.
If you prefer traditional paper forms, we’ve got you covered! Please complete and return the pink paper form to let us know, and we will send home paper forms for your child.
