SMHS School Counselors
Welcome back to another school year! Hopefully it will be full of new and exciting experiences. St. Marys High School has two guidance counselors. Mrs. Rinard and Mrs.Travers are here to provide assistance to your child to help him/her succeed in academics, social settings, and to help guide them in his/her path to the future.
The counselors work with students in many different capacities throughout the school year. Mrs. Rinard and Mrs. Travers will work with children in the classroom through guidance lessons that focus on many different areas including success in school, preparing for future after high school, college applications, understanding more about careers and developing a supportive school climate. Students can be seen on either an individual basis or with small groups. We encourage communication from parents and guardians.
Please feel free to contact Mrs. Rinard (lrinard@k12.wv.us) (684-3256) or Mrs. Travers (stravers@k12.wv.us) (684-3271) at any time during the school year if you would like to discuss your child’s needs, have concerns, need information, or need further resources. Please check the webpage under your child's grade to see any updates or resources. Please feel free to call the counselors at the above noted numbers or St. Marys High School 684-2421.
