The Boys and Girls Club of Pleasants County will be closed for the remainder of the week.
Tickets to the Boys State Semifinal game on Friday 3/18 will be for sale Thursday morning at 8:00AM until 6:00PM. They will be available for purchase in the office at SMHS. Student tickets are $6.00 and adult tickets are $10.00.

This is a reminder that SMHS will be selling tickets to the Boys Basketball game in Charleston on Wednesday 3/16 . We will sell tickets until 1:00PM on Wednesday 3/16. Students who want to ride the Pep Bus will need to sign up by 12:00PM on 3/16. We will be leaving at 4:45PM and return at approximately 11:15PM. We will not be stopping to eat, but students may bring money to eat at the concession stand at the game.
All Juniors at SMHS will be taking the SAT school day assessment on Wednesday, March 23. All juniors should arrive at school early or on time to begin testing. Students should be well rested and eat a good breakfast to be ready to do their best on the test! As a reminder to parents, please sign and return the SAT student consent form as soon as possible. These forms are due to Mr. Hickman by Friday March 18th.

We would like to again congratulate our girls’ basketball team on their season and thank everyone that made it to Charleston to support the team.
As you are aware, the boys’ basketball team has qualified for next week’s state tournament. They will play Braxton County on Wednesday March 16th at 7:15 p.m.
Students and adults may begin purchasing tickets at the main office on Monday. We will sell tickets from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, and until 2 p.m. on Wednesday. Any student wishing to ride a pep bus to the game, must again sign up in the office by 1 p.m. on Tuesday. Buses will depart Wednesday approximately 5 p.m. Prices for general admission are still $6.00 for students and $10.00 for adults. There is some reserve seating still available online or at the gates for $12.00, through the Charleston Civic Center.
Friday, March 11 is the end of the third nine-weeks.
Schedule Change:
March 18th will be a full instructional day.
March 25th will be an early dismissal.
SMHS students who are riding the pep bus to the Girls’ Basketball semi-final game in Charleston on Friday, March 11th will need to be at the high school at 7:00AM. We will board the bus and leave the school at 7:15AM. The game will begin at 9:30AM. Following the game, students will eat at the food court before returning to SMHS. Students should bring money for the concessions stand or food court unless they have already arranged to have a school lunch prepared or bring a lunch from home.
Tickets to Girls State BB Semifinal (Friday @ 9:30am) are on sale in SMHS office today through 6pm and tomorrow from 8am-6pm. Student Tickets $6 and Adult Tickets $10.

Reminder for SMHS students who are going to the Girls State Basketball game on the pep bus: We will be leaving SMHS at 8:30 a.m. Students should have money to eat at the Civic Center concession stand if they did not already request a lunch from school. They are encouraged to bring their own packed lunch from home to eat before the game. We will not be stopping to eat on the way home. We will be arriving back at SMHS before the end of the school day.
