April 28th served as St. Marys' High School's official Military Signing Day that allowed family, friends, veterans, and current service men and women and their classmates to celebrate them and this commitment.
The following students and their families were honored on this day. Evan Bauso: United States Army, Seth Christie, United States Navy, Nate Decker, United States Army, and Owan Velazquez, United States Marines. Greg Davis and Michael Amos served as speakers for the event and both are retired from the United States Navy.

Thank you to Belmont Elementary 1st grade teacher, Paula Oliverio and her husband Joe Oliverio for bringing Arlo to the high school to provide some much-needed smiles during this difficult time to our students. Arlo is a certified therapy dog and has been named the first R.E.A.D. (Reading Education Assistance Dog) for the state of West Virginia. Arlo has completed extensive work through Intermountain Therapy Animals. Arlo truly helped bring some love to the high school and he made best friends with Mr. Simonton especially. Thank you Paula and Joe Oliverio for helping the students at SMHS.
