"BACK TO SCHOOL" 2021-2022
Welcome back to each of you and I hope everyone had an enjoyable summer. I am sure you feel like the time flew by and it is hard to believe it is time to begin another school year. I am looking forward to resuming to five days per week of in-person learning. The COVID pandemic created several challenges, however, I feel that Pleasants County Schools rose to the challenge and parents and students did a phenomenal job with the circumstances. I must say that this new school year will bring a renewed excitement to our entire community. I would like to thank the staffs at each school for their support during the pandemic and efforts to get our schools ready for another year. The entire school system reflects excellence from our maintenance and custodial staff shows in preparing our buildings and the transportation in maintaining our busses. Our community can take great pride in all of our facilities and equipment.
There are several challenges we continue to face which include equitable access to internet and broadband networks. The technology team is constantly working on improving devices and platforms to help our students.
As we begin a new year and another journey together we will continue to do what is best for our kids! I look forward to working with everyone through this process and getting your very valued input. Together we will come out on top.
Always remember that our families send us their best learners every day, and that they represent their hopes and dreams for the future. Our parents are putting their trust and faith in us to help them achieve and succeed. We must rise to the challenge and be the educational leaders that we are so capable of being.
I encourage each of you to continue to build, foster, and nurture the relationships you have formed with your students, parents, and colleagues. It is through these relationships that we learn that one of the most beautiful compensations in life is that we can never help another without helping ourselves. So reach out and take the time to listen to our stakeholders and make them feel welcome in our schools.
