For the past several years Pleasants County Schools has used Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) Packets (also called snow packets.) For up to five (5) days per school year when school is canceled due to weather or other events, these days do not have to be "made up" at a later date. The work that the students and staff complete for the NTI Packets counts as instructional time, so the days do not have to be made up during spring break or the end of the calendar. The state allows each county to use up to five (5) of these NTI Days per school year. We want to know each stakeholder's view on using NTI Days. There is a maximum of 5 NTI days permitted per year, a county may not go above 5 NTI Days.
